Three people were injured just before midnight, one mile west of Ellis when they were rear ended by a tractor trailer.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the three were driving a ’93 Dodge Caravan westbound on I-70 just before midnight when a semi rear the vehicle, sending it into the ditch.

Clifford Passmore, 35, York, SC; Louise Hodges, 42, Denver, CO; Brandi Redding, 15, Denver, CO; were all transported to Hays Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
