Two more former Hays Larks are taken on the final day of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.
Three-year Lark Brandon Eckerle was drafted in the 32nd round by the Detroit Tigers. Eckerle started in center field for the Larks in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Eckerle played his college ball for Michigan State.
Oklahoma State’s Brad Propst was taken in the 38th round by the Houston Astros. Propst is a right-handed pitcher who played for the Larks last year.
