Ellis County residents living outside of city limits will be able to shoot off fireworks this 4^th of July holiday. County Administrator Greg Sund says the recommendation from the rural fire chief is to follow the policy approved by the City of Hays, which allows fireworks from July 1-5.

            In Ellis, fireworks are allowed on July 3^rd and 5^th from noon until 10pm and on the 4^th from 8am until midnight. In Victoria, fireworks are allowed only on the 4^th from noon to midnight.
