Man That Never Attended Kansas State University Bequests $1 Million To School

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – A California man who never attended Kansas State University has made a $1 million bequest to the school to honor his many relatives who studied or taught at the Manhattan campus.

Alan Porter is an independent real estate investor in Santa Barbara. His father, Clare Porter, and mother, Georgiana Avery Porter, both earned bachelor’s degrees at KState.
