Chen Lifts Royals Past Chicago

Bruce Chen pitched into the 7th inning helping the Royals to a win in their series finale with the White Sox.

Bruce Chen picks up his first career win over the White Sox, allowing one run on four hits as the Royals beat Chicago 4-1 to win the final two games of their series at U.S. Cellular Field.

Chen escaped a bases-loaded no-out jam in the fourth, allowing just the one run. Greg Holland threw two scoreless innings and Joakim Soria worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his 15th save.

Jeff Francoeur drove in two and Eric Hosmer homered for the third time in four games.

The Royals are back home tonight to open a four-game series with Detroit prior to the All-Star game.
