The Hays Larks score three in the first and that was all they needed as they knock off the Greeley Grays 8-2 for a sweep in the two-game non-league series at Larks Park.

Aaron Cornell, who had his 24-game hit streak snapped in a pinch-hit appearance in the ninth inning Saturday, went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. Cody Gougler had two doubles driving in a run and scoring twice and Brandon Dixon doubled and drove in two and also stole home to make the score 6-1 in the fifth.

Starter Jesse Hart picks up the win as the Larks improve to 23-12.

The Larks, who share the Jayhawk League lead, returns to league play at home tonight against Dodge City at 7pm
