Construction crews will begin spot milling and applying a two-inch asphalt overlay on the driving lanes and shoulders of I-70 from the Gove/Trego County line to the west WaKeeney exit by the end of this week. As part of the project Highway 283 will receive a two-inch mill and inlay under the interstate. The entire project totals approximately 17 miles.
The project should be completed by the end of September.
A second road construction project to repave I-70 inRussellCountyhas been re-scheduled to start around August 15.
