Balancing the Ellis County budget for 2012 will require $311,000 in reductions. Administrator Greg Sund says that can be accomplished by reducing the amount of money transferred to reserves, and the commissioners want to move the special revenue funds for health and special bridge into the general fund.

The commission approved publishing the budget levying the same amount as last year to avoid a tax increase. The budget hearing will be August 22^nd.
