Two issues regarding fireworks usage were settled at Thursday night’s city commission meeting. If the ordinance is passed next week, fireworks will be allowed on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th from10am to 11pm. Commissioner Ron Mellick says the problem has been the people who continue to shoot them off after the nightly deadline.
The commissioners could not reach a consensus on the dates when fireworks will be allowed to be sold. That issue along with the rest of the ordinance will be discussed and possibly voted on next week.
