Pierzynski Hits Two Homers For White Sox In Win Over KC

KANSAS CITY,Mo. (AP) – A.J. Pierzynski homered twice among his four hits and drove in four runs as the Chicago White Sox snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 10-5 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. It also ended the Royals seven-game win streak, their longest since mid September of 2008.

The Sox led 6-4 when Paul Konerko and Pierzynski hit back-to-back homers leading off the seventh against rookie reliever Louis Coleman.

All nine of the Royals starters had at least one of the Royals 15 hits. Eric Hosmer and Johnny Giavotella each had three hits.

The Royals are off Mondayt before opening a two-game series with Detroit.
