Fort Hays State’s Homecoming weekend has begun, and Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler says the goal for the police department is to make sure everyone has a safe weekend.

Along with additional police on patrol, there will be ABC agents and the Highway Patrol will conduct sobriety check lanes.

Safe Ride will run Friday from 3pm to 3am.
