Carol Jane Cline
Victoria, Kansas – Carol Jane Cline, age 81, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at St. John’s Health Care Center, Hays, Kansas.
She was born January 26, 1930, at Neodesha, Kansas, to Harry Paul McCullough I (1st) and Edna (Doty). She married Harold F. Cline on December 28,1950, at Paola, Kansas. He died January 6, 2005.
She was an Assistant Funeral Director with her husband at Cline’s Mortuary, Victoria, Kansas, and at Cline’s Funeral Home, Russell, Kansas until 1988. She moved to Victoria, Kansas from Overland Park, Kansas in 1960 and lived in Russell, Kansas from 1975 to 1988, then moving back to Victoria, Kansas in 1988. She attended The Ursuline College in Paola, Kansas, and was a school teacher at Louisburg, Kansas for a few years. She was a substitute teacher in Victoria and Russell, Kansas. She was a Foster Grandparent with Fort Hays State University and worked at the Hays Public Library in the Children’s Department for over 20 years. She enjoyed painting ceramics, playing Bridge, in doubles and tournaments at Hays and Russell, Kansas, pinochle, bingo and her pets. She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella and V.F.W. Auxiliary all of Victoria, Kansas.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Ubert and husband Robert, Overland Park, KS; five sons, Craig Cline and wife Jane, Russell, KS; Chris Cline and wife Mary, Gorham, KS; Dr. Kevin Cline and wife Wendy, Derby, KS; Kirk “Cookie” Cline and wife Debi, Hays, KS; Carl Cline and wife Kelly, Lawrence, KS; 19 grandchildren, Michael Ubert, Brian Ubert, Steven Ubert, Stephanie Harris and husband Michael, Christina Cline, Eric Cline and fiancé Erica Daniels, Megan Cline, Adam Cline and wife Tammy, Joshua Cline and wife Rachel, Laramie Cline, Kyle Cline, Andrea Cline, Brent Cline, Jeremy Cline, Aaron Cline, Justin Cline, Jordan Cline, Kendall Scoboria and husband Evan, Kelsey Henry and husband A.J.; five great grandchildren, Myranda Harris, Preston Harris, Danica Cline, Brody Cline and Indy Dreiling; one sister-in-law, Naomi McCullough, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold F. Cline; two brothers, John Richard McCullough and Harry Paul McCullough II; and one sister, Mari Lou Saunders.
Services are 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas. Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery Victoria, Kansas.
A Victoria Daughters of Isabella and V.F.W. Auxiliary rosary and memorial service is at 7:00 P.M. Friday followed by a vigil service at 7:30 P.M. all at Cline’s Mortuary 412 Main Victoria, Kansas, 67671. Visitation is from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. Saturday all at Cline’s Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.
