Montana Mike’s Restaurant in Hays is usually closed Mondays.  This week it was open to host Celebrity Servers Night, a fundraiser for the United Way of Ellis County.

“Littles” on the waiting list for Big Brothers Big Sisters, a United Way agency, were the evening’s celebrity servers, with a little help from adult volunteers.

Tickets for three choices of meals were sold in advance, with proceeds and tips all going to the United Way.

The Hays Pizza Hut restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds from tonight’s sales between 5 and 8p.m.

This year’s United Way campaign goal is 475-thousand dollars to be distributed among 14 community provider programs.
