After meeting in executive session, the Ellis County Commission approved two pay increases Monday night. The vote was not unanimous, but County Administrator Greg Sund will get a two-and-a-half percent bump in salary. Commissioner Dean Haselhorst voted against the raise.

The commissioners did unanimously approve moving Emergency Management Coordinator Bill Ring from step two to step four on the pay scale contingent upon him completing certification.
