Fort Hays State President Edward Hammond spent last week traveling the state speaking about the university and the need for the state and federal governments to continue supporting higher education. Hammond says it was a very productive trip.

Hammond says the economic impact of the full regents system is $7.3 billion, and the best way to jump start the economy is to support education. Hammond conducts a statewide media tour each fall.
