Elm Street will be closed at the railroad crossing this week for repairs. City Manager Toby Dougherty says after repeated requests to improve the crossing, a crew from Union Pacific Railroad is scheduled to work on the rough road this week.

The city has requested that work also be done on the Vine Street crossing.

The work on Elm Street began Monday.
