The deadline has passed for the filing of a protest petition against Sunday alcohol sales in unincorporated Ellis County. No petitions were filed, so Ellis County Administrator Greg Sund says Sunday sales are now allowed.
The county commission passed a resolution allowing Sunday beer sales on October 10th. Since no protest petitions were filed, an election will not be required.
