Last year the City of Hays lodged a complaint with the League of Kansas Municipalities over that organization’s lack of representation. The city continued its membership, but City Manager Toby Dougherty says since the League has made no changes, perhaps the city should drop its membership.

Commissioner Henry Schwaller says there is no reason to continue paying the nearly $10,000 membership fee.

The commission  will vote on the membership next week.
