The Fort Hays State made just one of their final eight shots and were two of four from the free throw line over the final 5:20 and lost at home to Southwest Baptist 68-63.

Kendrick Morse hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 59 with 5:20 to play but are outscored 9-4 the rest of the way.

The Tigers hit just two of their final 10 shots in the first half helping the Bearcats erase a 10-point first half deficit to lead 31-27 at the half.

The Tigers shoot 40-percent for the game, hitting 8-of-23 from 3-point range but were just 9-of-16 from the free throw line. SBU sho 44-percent and were 9-of-22 from 3-point range. The Bearcats outrebound the Tigers 39-38.

Kendrick Morse scored 17 to lead FHSU, Lance Russell added a season-high 12 and Matt Simmons 11 along with 10 rebounds.

The loss is the second straight for the Tigers as they fall to 10-3 on the year and 4-3 in the MIAA.
