One of the more daunting tasks of this legislative session is redistricting. Every ten years the legislature must reset legislative and congressional districts based on the latest census. 111th District Representative Eber Phelps says this is a process that could bog down the session.
With the population shift, westernKansaslegislators are concerned that both the state House and Senate could lose a district out west.
The legislative session begins Monday.
