Federal officials are conducting an investigation after two bald eagles were found shot, and killed in Kansas.
According to a press release, the first eagle was found in a ditch on 370th Road, approximately ¼ mile north of the Ness County line, in Trego County, on Jan. 9th.
The second eagle was found near 1700 Road in northwest Montgomery County, near the Wilson County line on Jan. 10.
The United States Fish & Wildlife Service and area veterinarians conducted X-rays on the eagle which revealed a presence of metal
