After receiving several complaint letters about the Quest gas station on North Vine Street, one Hays City Commissioner wants to do something about the high prices and lack of signage. Commissioner Kent Steward says travelers who stop in Hays have said they won’t anymore after filling up at that station.

Steward is proposing that the city purchase billboards along I-70 to essentially warn motorists to check the prices at other gas stations before stopping at the North Vine Quest. The commissioners will discuss the proposal and other options at next week’s work session.
