Cold And Clear Today

Surface high pressure in northeastern Colorado early this morning will edge slowly east into northwestern Kansas through this afternoon before moving into eastern Kansas by this evening.

As a result, north to northeasterly winds will continue across much of western Kansas through this afternoon allowing colder air to continue filtering south into the area. Look for highs only up into the 30s by late this afternoon.

Although southerly winds will return to western Kansas tonight, temperatures will remain cold with lows once again down into the teens.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as 1. North northwest wind 14 to 17 mph decreasing to between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 14. Wind chill values as low as 2. Calm wind becoming south between 10 and 13 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Wind chill values as low as 2 early. Southwest wind between 10 and 13 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind 8 to 11 mph becoming north.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 34. North northeast wind 5 to 13 mph becoming southeast.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.
