The search for a new president of Fort Hays State University is well underway.

Retiring president Dr. Edward Hammond says there are 60 applications and the search committee is reviewing each one:

Hammond will retire at the end of June after serving as FHSU president for 27 years, the longest term for any Kansas Regents school.
