A Phillipsburg native has thrown his hat in the ring to help lead Fort Hays State University’s Student Government Association in 2014-15.

Sophomore Grant Rahjes, currently an SGA senator, is seeking the office of vice president, while junior Brandon Taylor, who has lived in Greensburg and Bushnell, Neb., is seeking the office of president.

Rahjes, who is political science major, is originally from Phillipsburg, but has also lived in Topeka, Silver Lake, and Tonganoxie. He is a graduate of Elwood (Neb.) High School.
