RUSSELL – Two Russell residents were injured in an accident just after 7p.m. on Tuesday in Russell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Amelia G Michaelis, 80, Russell, was southbound on U.S. 281 four miles south of Russell.

The vehicle traveled left of the centerline and struck a northbound Chevy Cavalier driven by Jeremy L. Hubka, 30, Russell.

Michaelis and Hubka were transported to Russell Regional Medical Center.

Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
