SHERMAN COUNTY – One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. on Thursday in Sherman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford F150 driven by Jeff Uhler, 49, Hollywood, FL., was westbound on Intestate 70 just east of the Colorado State line.

The driver lost control of the pickup while passing a westbound semi.

The pickup hit the semi’s trailer, left the roadway, rolled into the median, crossed the eastbound lane of travel, entered the south ditch, and caught fire.

Uhler was transported to the hospital in Goodland. The semi driver from Colorado was not injured.
