The Fort Hays State Lady Tigers were held to 27-percent shooting in the second half and were out-rebounded by 18, falling to No. 15 Washburn 67-60 Saturday night at Gross Coliseum.

After Washburn used a 9-0 run to go up five, the Tigers score the final seven points of the first half and led by two at halftime.

The Lady Blues put together an 8-2 run to go up six with 12:32 to play and led by as many as nine in the second half, never letting the Tigers closer than five the rest of the way.

The Tigers finished 36-percent from the floor for the game while giving up 15 offensive rebounds.

Crista Bechard who scored 12 and Kate Edwards added 10 as the FHSU drops to 7-1 and 1-1 in the MIAA. Washburn improves to 9-2 and 2-0 in the conference.
