The Ellis County Commission has another short agenda for its final regular meeting of July at 5 p.m. Monday at the Administrative Center, 718 Main.

Ellis County Emergency Medical Services Director Kerry McCue is scheduled to go before the commission to continue a discussion on open positions within his department.

Earlier this year, the commission enacted a countywide policy that requires department heads to present the commission with information regarding open positions and get permission before filling vacancies.

Interim Public Works Director Curt Hoffman will present the commission with a proposal to purchase a loader, and Commission Chair Marcy McClelland will present the commission with an update on the purchase order process.

The commission also has scheduled a budget workshop for 8 a.m. Thursday.
