Broncos Warren Out Indefinately

ENGLEWOOD,Colo. (AP) – Denver Broncos run-stuffer Ty Warren has a torn triceps that will sideline him indefinitely.

Fellow defensive tackle Marcus Thomas has a strained pectoral muscle that’s expected to keep him out at least until the regular season. Both were injured Monday.

The Broncos aren’t giving up hope thatWarrencould play at some point this season.

Warrenwas the Broncos’ biggest offseason addition, signing a two-year, $8 million deal after he was cut by the Patriots. His deal included a $2.5 million signing bonus and $1.5 million in 2011 salary.

Warren, 30, missed all of last season with a hip injury. Surgery might end his season and maybe even his career, so both he and the Broncos would rather put off an operation in hopes he can heal enough to play.

“We have a very distinctive and unique partnership with our university community and as we began putting together the pieces of this project, it became very clear that we had something special in the works that would provide us with an international platform to showcase our brand to our fans,” said Athletics Director John Currie. “We want to ensure that K-Staters anywhere in the world can watch the Wildcats, and the fact that all of our new programming will be produced in high definition will also put us in a strategic position as we continue to explore future avenues for distribution.”
